Abbey House is a 3-storey townhouse, situated right in the middle of the historical town of Wexford, a few minutes' walk from the train/bus station.

Abbey House has the distinction of having part of the original stone wall of the town as part of the structure of the house - there were five walls in total, this is the only one that survives. The wall was used in the time of the High Kings to prevent enemies from attacking the centre of Wexford Town.
Just up the street is the Selskar Abbey Tower. Adjoining is the Westgate Heritage Centre, which contains a 52-seat audio-visual theatre, making a perfect setting to understand the historical development of Wexford.

We are within a 1 minute walk from Wexford's main street. This hosts a variety of shops and restaurants for all to choose from. You will be spoiled for choice when it comes to your palate as we have Indian, Chinese, French, Italian and of course traditional Irish restaurants all providing extensive menus. We will be only too pleased to advise you where to go.
In tha past few years, Wexford Harbour has been extensively re-modernised. We pride ourselves in the way it looks now. On a summer's evening, there is nothing better to do than stroll along the promenade watching boats docking and the sun descending. It can be quite picturesque.
